Colombo inflation increases to -0.3% in July 2025

The Overall Rate of Inflation, as measured by the Colombo Consumer Price Index (CCPI) on a year-on-year basis, has increased to -0.3% in July 2025.

According to the Department of Census and Statistics, the increase is in comparison to the -0.6% recorded in June this year. 

Meanwhile, food inflation has decreased to 1.5% in July 2025, compared to the 4.3% reported in June 2025.

However, non-food inflation has increased to -0.2% in July, compared to the -2.8% recorded in June this year.
