Police Special Task Force officers from the Kalubowila camp arrested three suspects linked to a fatal shooting in Boralesgamuwa yesterday.
According to police, the incident occurred in the early hours of Sunday when two men arriving in a three-wheeler opened fire at a pedestrian on Malani Bulathsinhala Mawatha, killing him on the spot.
Acting on intelligence, STF officers arrested three individuals who allegedly aided and abetted the crime during raids in Dehiwala and Ratmalana the same morning. The suspects, aged 19 and 20, are residents of those areas.
They were handed over to the Western Province South Crimes Division for further investigations. (Islandnews)
