Former State Minister Diana Gamage, against whom an arrest warrant was issued recently, appeared in court today and was released on bail.
The Colombo Magistrate’s Court released Diana Gamage on a surety of Rs. 10 million after she appeared in court via her legal counsel.Â
Last week (21), Colombo Chief Magistrate Thanuja Lakmali Jayathunga issued a warrant for the arrest of Diana Gamage due to her failure to appear for a court hearing.
Diana Gamage, who is currently out on bail in connection with an alleged offence under the Immigration and Emigration Act, had failed to appear before the court for a hearing on the case. (Islandnews)
