Minister of Foreign Affairs, Vijitha Herath, welcomed the Governor General of Australia, Samantha Joy Mostyn, who arrived in Sri Lanka today on an official visit.
Upon her arrival at the Katunayake Airport, Samantha Joy Mostyn was welcomed by Sri Lankan authorities, including Foreign Minister Vijitha Herath.Â
Commenting on the Governor General of Australia’s visit, Minister Herath said her official visit marks an important step in strengthening Sri Lanka-Australia bilateral ties and deepening collaboration across key sectors.
During her visit, the Governor General is expected to hold bilateral discussions with President Anura Kumara Disanayaka and Prime Minister Harini Amarasuriya.Â
Samantha Joy Mostyn will also visit several projects supported by Australia in Bandaragama, Mirissa and Weligama. (Islandnews)
