The owner of the Hambantota Bird Park has been arrested in connection with the seizure of imported illegal high-capacity motorbikes.
According to the Police Spokesman, the arrest pertained to the illegally imported high-capacity motorbikes that were found at the Bird Park premises recently.Â
Following a raid conducted last week, the farm manager and warehouse manager of the Hambantota Bird Park were arrested.
During the raid, the Police uncovered 21 illegally imported motorbikes and four cannabis plants hidden within the park’s bird food storage area.
The seized motorbikes, valued at over Rs. 10 million, were reportedly stored without proper documentation. (Islandnews)
