The newly upgraded Beauty Salon at the Police Field Force Headquarters in Thimbirigasyaya, Colombo, was officially declared open on Tuesday (15) under the patronage of the Acting Inspector General of Police (IGP) Priyantha Weerariya.
Initiated by the Women’s Unit of the Police Service, the salon aims to provide affordable grooming services to police officers, their families, and other associated parties.
The facility offers services at concessionary rates, creating opportunities for police personnel and their family members to access grooming and beauty care.
A special feature of the initiative is that experienced family members of police officers will be given the opportunity to provide services at the salon.
Plans are underway to establish similar service centers across the country, enabling police families to benefit economically while contributing to the welfare of the police community. (Islandnews)
