Police are seeking public assistance to locate a suspect involved in an ongoing online scam investigation.
The suspect, identified as Liyanathukoralalage Don Niroshan Sameera (NIC: 780232196V) of 270/6 Ihala Bomiriya, Kaduwela, is accused of deceiving victims with false promises of gift parcels and fraudulently obtaining funds through bank deposits.
Police said the suspect maintained suspicious bank accounts as part of the scheme.
The Criminal Investigation Division’s Financial Investigation Unit is leading the probe. A case related to the investigation is currently pending before the Colombo High Court.
