The Parliamentary Committee on High Posts, at its meeting held on 06th August 2025, has approved the appointments of an ambassador, 2 Ministry Secretaries and 4 chairmen.
Accordingly, the committee approved the nomination of Mr. Wijesinghe Arachchige Kapila Sanjeewa De Alwis as the Ambassador of Sri Lanka to the Sultanate of Oman.
The Committee on High Posts also approved the appointments of Mr. M.A.L.S.N.K. Manthrinayake as the Secretary to the Ministry of Rural Development, Social Security and Community Empowerment and Mrs. J. M. Thilaka Jayasundara as the Secretary to the Ministry of Industry and Entrepreneurship Development.
Furthermore, the appointments of Mr. Kavinda de Zoysa as the Chairman of the Bank of Ceylon, Mr. Priyantha Wedamulla as the Chairman of the Independent Television Network Ltd, Mr. Pravir D. Samarasinghe as the Chairman of the Hotel Developers (Lanka) Limited and Mr. Jayathissa Anaththa Pathiranage as the Chairman of the Central Engineering Consultancy Bureau have been approved by the Committee on High Posts.
