LEOPOCON Sri Lanka says officials from the Department of Wildlife Conservation discovered a skinned leopard carcass today.
In a post on ‘X’, the non-profit leopard conservation organization said, the carcass was found at Maduru Oya National Park.
LEOPOCON Sri Lanka further revealed that the tragic finding marks the 14th evidence-based record of poaching this mid-year.
“This underscores the urgent threat to Sri Lanka’s leopards,” it added. (Islandnews)
