Lance Corporal A. Puvitharan of the 2nd Sri Lanka Electrical & Mechanical Engineers (SLEME) Unit of the Sri Lanka Army set a new national record in Pole Vault.
According to the Sri Lankan Army, Puvitharan set a new national record at the Mahinda Rajapaksa Playground in Diyagama today (19).Â
He cleared a height of 5.18 metres during the selections for the Army Athletics Championship 2025.
With this remarkable achievement, Lance Corporal A. Puvitharan now holds both the Sri Lanka Army record and the Army Athletics meet record in Pole Vault. (Islandnews)
