Court Directs Investigators to Seek Alternative Access to Salley’s Devices

Former State Intelligence Service Director Suresh Salley remains at the Colombo National Hospital while investigations connected to the 2019 Easter Sunday attacks continue. The Fort Magistrate’s Court was informed that Salley has not provided investigators with passwords for his mobile phone and laptop, reportedly stating that he cannot remember them. The court subsequently directed investigators to explore alternative methods of accessing the devices. A medical board has recommended that Salley remain hospitalized until September 28, when his condition is expected to be reassessed.
