Lamine Yamal Makes Barcelona History as Youngest Captain

Barcelona teenager Lamine Yamal has made club history by becoming the youngest player to captain the Catalan giants, taking the armband at just 19 years and 58 days.

The milestone came during Barcelona’s commanding 5–1 Champions League victory over Feyenoord on Wednesday.

Yamal was handed the captain’s armband after first-choice skipper Raphinha was substituted in the 71st minute, marking a significant moment in the young forward’s rapidly developing career.

The previous record belonged to Bojan Krkic, who captained Barcelona in a 2010 Copa del Rey match at the age of 20.

Yamal’s achievement further highlights his growing importance to Barcelona as he continues to establish himself as one of the club’s leading young players.
